Matika Wilbur

Matika Wilbur is a Documentary Photographer from the Swinomish and Tulalip Nations. While visiting Machu Picchu, Matika’s late grandmother, revealed to her in a dream, to bring the lens to her own people. Since, she has photographed members from over 300 sovereign nations, throughout 40 states. In her photographic endeavor “Project 562”, she reawakens culture and captures the spirit of our Indigenous communities.
